1. What we are (and what we are not)
MaldivesTouristGuide.com is a small, independent introduction service. We help travellers connect with pre-screened Maldivian travel agencies that match their trip requirements.
We are not a travel agency, tour operator, or booking platform. We do not:
- Arrange, confirm, or manage travel bookings
- Issue tickets, vouchers, or confirmations
- Handle payments for flights, accommodation, transfers, or any travel services
- Act as an agent or representative of any Maldivian agency or resort
- Provide travel insurance, visa assistance, or flight booking services
Our sole role is to research, reach out, clarify quotes, and introduce you directly to an agency we believe is a good fit. From that point forward, all communication, negotiation, booking, and payment is strictly between you and the agency.
2. How the service works
The process is described in detail on our How It Works page. In summary:
- You share your plans — dates, budget, number of travellers, preferences, and any specific resorts or agencies you have in mind.
- We confirm the fee tier — Simple ($57), Standard ($97), or Complex ($147) — based on the scope of your trip.
- You pay the fixed fee — we send an invoice with a secure online card payment link.
- We reach out — we contact a few pre-screened Maldivian agencies on your behalf, explain your requirements, and request quotes.
- We clarify the details — we review quotes, translate industry terminology, and ensure you understand what is and is not included.
- We introduce you directly — we connect you with the agency that best matches your trip. You then communicate, book, and pay the agency directly.
We aim to complete our part within 2–3 business days of receiving your requirements and payment. The overall timeline for your trip depends on how quickly you and the agency move forward.
3. Fees and payment
3.1 Fixed fee structure
Our fee is a one-time, fixed charge that covers the entire introduction process:

Every tier includes the same scope of work: research, outreach to pre-screened agencies, quote clarification, and a direct introduction. The difference is the amount of ground we need to cover.
3.2 Payment
- We send an invoice with a secure online payment link after confirming your tier.
- Payment is made by card through our third-party payment processor.
- The fee is payable upfront and in full before we begin agency outreach.
- All fees are quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise stated.
3.3 No hidden charges
The fixed fee is our only charge. We do not:
- Add percentages or commissions to agency quotes
- Charge extra for clarifying details or follow-up questions during the active search
- Accept payments or commissions from the agencies we work with
3.4 Additional outreach
If, after we have made an introduction, you ask us to reach out to additional agencies, this will be treated as a new inquiry and may require a new fee.
4. Refund policy
We only succeed when you receive a meaningful introduction you feel good about.
If we are unable to connect you with a suitable agency within the agreed timeframe, you are eligible for a full refund of the fixed fee. "Agreed timeframe" means the period we confirm with you at the start, typically aligned with our standard 2–3 business day target.
Refunds are not available where:
- We have successfully made an introduction to a suitable agency and you choose not to proceed
- You provide inaccurate or incomplete information that prevents us from fulfilling the service
- You change your mind after we have already begun agency outreach
Refund requests must be made in writing (via WhatsApp, Telegram, or email) and will be processed within 14 business days.
5. Your responsibilities
To help us deliver the best match, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your travel dates, budget, number of travellers, and preferences. Inaccurate details may lead to unsuitable introductions.
- Respond promptly to any follow-up questions we have before reaching out to agencies.
- Understand our role — we make introductions; we do not guarantee availability, pricing, or the quality of any agency's services.
- Deal directly with the agency for all booking, payment, contract, and travel-related matters after the introduction.
- Maintain your own travel protections — including travel insurance, flight arrangements, and any local support you require. We do not provide these.
6. Agency relationships and liability
6.1 Independent agencies
The Maldivian agencies we work with are independent third parties. We pre-screen them based on our experience, but we do not employ them, control their operations, or guarantee their services.
6.2 No endorsement or guarantee
An introduction is not an endorsement. We connect you based on the fit between your requirements and the agency's expertise. You are responsible for:
- Verifying the agency's credentials yourself
- Reviewing quotes, contracts, and terms directly with the agency
- Ensuring the booking meets your expectations before paying the agency
6.3 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any acts, omissions, errors, or defaults of the agencies we introduce you to.
- We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, cancellation, or additional expense arising from your travel arrangements, bookings, or dealings with any agency.
- Our total liability to you for any claim relating to our service is limited to the amount of the fixed fee you paid us.
This does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
6.4 Disputes with agencies
Any dispute between you and an agency must be resolved directly with that agency. We will use reasonable efforts to assist with communication where a gap in understanding exists, but we are not a party to your contract with the agency and cannot mediate formal disputes.
7. Intellectual property
All content on MaldivesTouristGuide.com — including text, graphics, logos, and site structure — is the property of MaldivesTouristGuide.com or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

8. Acceptable conduct
When engaging with our service, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity
- Transmit malicious code, spam, or abusive content through our communication channels
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these terms or behaves in a way we reasonably consider to be abusive or fraudulent.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be brought to your attention when reasonably practicable.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Maldives.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
